Fabiana Isaac selected Tabarka tile in the Rue Des Rosiers pattern inspired by the Jewish Quarter street for this kitchen to honor her clients' Moroccan heritage and love of Paris. The wife is an avid gourmet cook, and the original kitchen in the one-story 1920s bungalow in Oakland's Crocker Highlands was small. Isaac took square footage from the living room to enlarge the kitchen and allow for a breakfast nook. She replaced a window at the side of the house with a large glass door and added a small deck to improve ventilation and light. The designer installed a Sub-Zero fridge, freezer, and wine suite; six-burner range and oven by Bluestar; Visual Comfort pendants and Franke fixtures. Art by local artist Ellie Hajdu completed the sapphire blue room.
