Oakland’s Crocker Highlands, inspired by the English garden city movement, dates back to the early 20th century. These classic homes usually had only one bathroom upstairs. Such was the case of this Tudor-styled house built in 1924. Fabiana Isaac carved out an additional one using a windowless space near a bedroom entrance. She selected a polished chrome column design faucet with lever handles for the vanity cabinet. She paired this with a square drop-in sink. A rectangular mirror with an eased edge surmounts the vanity. Isaac flanked this with tubular glass and chrome sconces. Carrara Bella marble tiles in different patterns add interest, and the skylight provides sunlight.
